Man Faces Charges After Pulling a Knife at the Hospital
Charleston police said a patient at a hospital will face charges after he pulled a knife and pepper spray on three staff members. 81-year old John Riggs will face assault charges after the incident at at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Hospital. Police said it happened at about 3 a.m. Thursday. Officers used a stun gun on Riggs because he was not complying, and he is still in the hospital under supervision.
