Latest Gun Incident At the Airport Makes Nine in 2016
Yeager Airport security checkpoints have had nine incidents this year with passengers and loaded guns. The Transportation Security Administration says a Braxton County man was caught with a loaded handgun Sunday at Yeager Airport, and the nine incidents so far this year are more than four times the number caught in 2015. WCHS TV reports Yeager Airport Police responded to the latest incident and confiscated the gun and cited the man on a state weapons charge. Guns and ammunition aren’t allowed in carry-on bags, but can be transported in checked bags if they are unloaded, properly packed and declared to the airline.
