Justice Tax System

Governor Jim Justice is pushing a tiered tax system that lowers taxes for certain companies when the economy is bad but increases them when things are good. Justice unveiled the plan during his inauguration speech, while saying certain companies should pay more when they’re doing well but help during tough times. Justice also said he wants more financial help from the federal government and a tax increase to erase the state’s massive budget deficit.
