Deputy pleads guilty to lying to the FBI

A former Kanawha County deputy has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Prosecutors say Fifty-two-year-old Robert Evans purchased opioid pain medication from a suspect in a drug trafficking ring, and lied to agents when they asked him about it. Evans resigned his position. He faces up to five years in federal prison.
