Casto Sentenced for Putnam County Death

Jennifer Evans was shot and killed in September 2015 in her home in Putnam County, and the accused shooter has been sentenced to life in prison. Phillip Casto preveiously entered a Kennedy plea where the defendant doesn’t have to detail circumstances of the crime. As part of a plea deal, Casto pleaded guilty to first-degree murder. He was sentenced to life in prison without mercy Thursday in Putnam County.
