WV Unemployment Rate is Rising

West Virginia’s unemployment rate is rising, although slightly. State numbers released this week show an increase to five-percent in the jobless rate with the number of unemployed jumping by 23-hundred. Mining and logging, construction and manufacturing all lost hundreds of positions. Job increases were found in financial, educational and health services.
