WQBE’s Morning Show Co-Host – Jeff Jeffreys has always been in the radio business. His dad took him to work at his radio station in Virginia from the time he was 5 years old. He worked for his dad until he was 23 and then went to work for Bristol Broadcasting in 1980.
Jeff worked in Bristol, VA. at the Home Office and WXBQ FM for 8 years then transferred to Charleston, WV where he has been for 30 years.
Jeff is one of the longest running employees with Bristol Broadcasting and has been a part of the #1 rated Morning Show in Charleston for years. Jeff spend 17 years working side by side with Al Woody and since his passing in 2018. Jeff now is the co-host with Al Woody’s son Junior plus Bob Hamilton, Al Archer and Jenn Austin. The Morning Air Show has been the most listened to morning program for almost 30 years.
Jeff and his wife Jerie are now empty nesters and extremely proud grandparents to Juju, Emma, Rory, JT and Owen. They have love for dogs and cats. Jeff and his wife enjoy spending time at home and at church.
Kris “Junior” Woody was born in to the WQBE family in 1983. Junior was born the eldest son of the Late Al Woody who worked for WQBE for nearly 40 years. Junior’s first job at the age of 15 was working as the WQBE Rabbit. Junior went to work in the construction and coal mining industries, avoiding the family line of work in radio until the passing of his father in November 2018. This pointed Junior in the direction of his destiny. He joined his spot on the WQBE Morning Air Show with Jeff, Bob Al and Jenn.
Junior’s passion is his wife Felicia and their three kids Kris, Aleksandrya and Kyleigh. He spends a lot of time with his family doing various outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and competitive archery events.
