Work requirement for SNAP benefits

Governor Jim Justice has signed a bill that imposes work requirements on some people receiving SNAP benefits. The bill says that able bodied adults between eighteen and fifty must work, volunteer, or participate in job training for twenty hours a week to qualify for food stamps. There are some exceptions to the bill, including senior citizens, the disabled, pregnant mothers, and more.
