Bankrate.com said West Virginians had a total credit card balance of $7,563 with a median annual household income of $43,469. The average months to pay off the debt in West Virginia is 17 months with total interest of $1,167. New Mexico and Louisiana were listed as the states with the highest total credit card balance.
