Smithers Gets a New Grocery Store

With Kroger on its way out of Smithers, folks in Fayette County have been needing a new option for groceries. West Virginia-based Grant’s Supermarket is moving in later this year, to keep Smithers residents from having to drive thirty minutes to the nearest store. In December, Smithers will become the 17th location for a Grant’s Supermarket in West Virginia. Kroger will close in Smithers by mid-November.
