Lawmakers want Loughry out by mid-August
Democratic lawmakers say the investigation into suspended state Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry needs to be wrapped up in the next two weeks. If Loughry is impeached and removed from office by August 14th, names of candidates could be placed on the November ballot. If that date is missed, Governor Justice will appoint Loughry’s successor. Republican leaders say there is still more evidence to look at before voting.
