While West Virginia’s unemployment surges, billionaire Jim Justice is making a Democratic bid for governor by promising vague outside-the-box ideas to get people working, from the next Idaho potato to the next Dollywood theme park. In the May 10 primary, the executive’s delinquent payments are drawing scrutiny from his opponents, ex-U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin and Senate Minority Leader Jeff Kessler. Goodwin is running as a moderate. Kessler is a progressive who endorsed Bernie Sanders.
