House approves teacher salary increase

The West Virginia House approved a bill yesterday that would raise teacher’s salaries. Teachers, school service personnel and State Police would get a two-percent raise this year. Teachers would get additional one-percent raises over the next three years. State Police and school personnel would get a one-percent raise next year. The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration.
