Fleeing driver tries to back over police officer

A suspect is in custody after crashing into homes, cars, and utility poles Saturday night in Clarksburg. A utility truck driver led police on a pursuit through Glen Elk, downtown Clarksburg, and to the Broadway area. When police caught up with the truck, the driver started backing up toward an officer, and the officer fired three shots into the back of the truck. No one was injured. Power was knocked out in the area for a short time.
