Elk River Chemical Spill

A revised report says the Elk River chemical spill was caused by a Freedom Industries tank leak. The federal report was a revised version first released in 2016 and reaffirms the original findings. It says the chemicals contaminated a West Virginia American Company Water plant and the tank holding the chemicals was in very poor condition. The leak took place in early 2014 and impacted hundreds of thousands of customers.
