Controversial needle exchange program suspended

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department is suspending its controversial needle exchange program. The move comes after Charleston city officials implemented new rules for the program, and Mayor Danny Jones called for an independent audit. Jones said a needle exchange program at West Virginia Health Right began providing retractable needles last week.
