Clarksburg needs clean up

Federal officials are adding a Clarksburg site to the list of the most serious spots in need of environmental cleanup. The Environmental Protection Agency on Thursday announced added the North 25th Street Glass and Zinc site to the Superfund National Priorities List. From 1899 through 1989, the facility manufactured glass. From 1911 to 1924, zinc ore was processed, creating a hazardous waste legacy. It currently stores recycled paper for a pulp facility and hosts a car repair service.
