Charleston Police Accept Applications for Citizen’s Academy

The Charleston Police Department is accepting applications for its Citizens’ Police Academy. The academy begins Sept. 5 and runs for 11 weeks from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Charleston Police Department Training Center. The class is free, and gives you the chance to learn the inner workings of the police department. Applications should be returned by Aug. 18.
