Boone County Man Faces Charges for Torturing a Woman

A Boone County man is in trouble after a woman says he tortured her for hours. 43-year old Kevin Woodrum of Gordon is facing several charges after the woman says he beat her in the face and head, sexually assaulted her, and cut off a large amount of her hair. When deputies first arrived, Woodrum told them the woman was asleep, but eventually deputies got to her and saw swelling and bruises. Woodrum is a former Boone County sheriff’s deputy, last working there in 2004. Woodrum is currently being held at Southwestern Regional Jail.
