“Bobbin’ for an Apple” iPhone Duo Giveaway
- HOW TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THE OFFICIAL RULES
A complete copy of these Official Promotional Rules is available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, at the offices of WQBE-FM, 817 Suncrest Place, Charleston, WV 25309. A copy may also be requested by mailing a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the same address.
- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
No purchase is necessary to enter or win this contest.
- ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be at least 18 years of age to enter or win.
This contest is open to the general public, except for employees, agents, subsidiaries, and affiliates of 97.5 WQBE, Bristol Broadcasting, Inc., Charleston Fleet Services, and BC Body Company; participating sponsors; members of their immediate families; members of their households; and employees of other radio industry organizations.
- CONTEST PERIOD
The contest will begin on or about Friday, October 16, 2026, and will end on or about November 6, 2026, unless terminated or modified in accordance with these rules.
- GRAND PRIZE
One Grand Prize will be awarded: an iPhone Duo. Value $1999.00. The winner will be required to complete the necessary prize-claim documentation, including applicable tax forms. The Grand Prize phone must be connected to your carrier of choice. Phone plan is not included with this phone and the responsiblity of the Grand Prize winner. Delivery date of the iPhone will be determined by Apple.
- TAXES AND OTHER EXPENSES
The Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable local, state, and federal taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, and any other costs or expenses associated with accepting or using the prize.
An IRS Form 1099 will be issued to the Grand Prize winner, as required by applicable law. Grand Prize winner is also responsible for any costs associated with any and all service contracts.
- PRIZE CONDITIONS
All prizes are awarded “as is.” Prizes are nontransferable and may not be exchanged for cash or substituted for another prize.
- SPONSOR RESPONSIBILITY
97.5 WQBE and Bristol Broadcasting, Inc. are not responsible for a participating sponsor’s failure to deliver a prize as promised.
- LIABILITY RELEASE
By entering or participating in this contest, all entrants and winners agree to release and hold harmless 97.5 WQBE, Bristol Broadcasting, Inc., Charleston Fleet Services, BC Body Company, their respective affiliates, and participating sponsors from liability for any injury, loss, misfortune, or damage to persons or property arising from participation in the contest or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, to the extent permitted by law.
- CLAIMING THE GRAND PRIZE
The Grand Prize winner must present valid, government-issued identification and complete all required prize-claim and fulfillment paperwork.
The Grand Prize will be awarded after the prize has arrived from Apple and the winner has completed the required claim procedures.
- HOW TO PLAY “BOBBIN’ FOR AN APPLE”
97.5 WQBE will conduct the “Bobbin’ for an Apple” contest on the air Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
When instructed by WQBE, listeners may call the station to participate. The 20th caller will be selected to play the game.
The contestant will attempt to spell the word APPLE by selecting numbered spaces on the game board. The contestant may choose any number from 1 through 50.
- The contestant must first find the letter A.
- If the contestant successfully finds the letter A, they may select another number in an attempt to find the FIRST P.
- The contestant must continue finding the letters in the correct order: A-then the “1st P” then find the -“2nd P” then the L and finally the E.
- If the contestant selects a number that does not reveal the next required letter, that round ends.
- The game may be played again during subsequent on-air contest rounds, following the same procedures.
The first contestant to successfully spell APPLE in the correct order will win the Grand Prize. Once the Grand Prize is won, the contest will end.
- PUBLICITY RELEASE
By accepting a prize, winners grant 97.5 WQBE, Bristol Broadcasting, Inc., Charleston Fleet Services, BC Body Company, their affiliates, and participating sponsors permission to use and publish their name, city of residence, photograph, video, film, likeness, and recorded or live voice for promotional, advertising, or publicity purposes, without additional compensation, to the extent permitted by law.
Winners agree to release and hold harmless these parties from liability arising from such authorized use.
- CONTEST CHANGES, SUSPENSION, OR CANCELLATION
If the contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including computer viruses, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other circumstances beyond the control of the station and its affiliates, the station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify the contest, subject to applicable law.
If the contest is terminated before its scheduled end date, the station may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law, determine an alternative method for selecting a winner, unless the circumstances make selecting a winner impossible.
- RIGHT TO END THE CONTEST
97.5 WQBE, Bristol Broadcasting, Inc., Charleston Fleet Services, and BC Body Company reserve the right to end the contest before its scheduled conclusion by providing advance notice to the public, subject to applicable law.
- LIMITATIONS ON ENTRIES
97.5 WQBE, Bristol Broadcasting, Inc., Charleston Fleet Services, and BC Body Company reserve the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter or participate in a contest or drawing.
- PRESENCE AT DRAWINGS
97.5 WQBE, Bristol Broadcasting, Inc., Charleston Fleet Services, and BC Body Company reserve the right to require contestants to be present at a drawing or other designated event to be eligible to win a prize. Any such requirement will be announced in advance.
- CHANGES TO THE PROMOTION
97.5 WQBE, Bristol Broadcasting, Inc., Charleston Fleet Services, and BC Body Company reserve the right to modify the promotion or any of its elements, subject to applicable law.
Where applicable, the odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and the method used to select the winner.
- DISQUALIFICATION
Any violation of these rules, or any attempt to win through fraud, deception, or cheating, may result in disqualification at the station’s discretion. Disqualified individuals may be prohibited from participating in current or future station contests or events and may forfeit any prize obtained through fraudulent or prohibited means, subject to applicable law.
