American Water sends out a warning about posing employees

West Virginia American Water is warning customers to guard against thieves posing as utility workers. The warning comes after an incident where a man claimed to be a water company employee, and stole hundreds of dollars from an elderly woman in Barboursville. The company says workers are should not need access to any indoor facilities to read meters, turn service on or off or perform maintenance work.
