Nitro Approves Special Election

Nitro voters will have a chance to weigh in on issues including police and first responders, street repair, the library, that affect the city of Nitro. The levy will be up for a vote in March after being approved by council members this week. The city council said the levy won’t create any new taxes. The levy has been in place since 1932 and has to be approved every five years.
