Train Derails Near Middle School

A crane had to be brought in to get the cars off of the tracks after the train derailment Wednesday in St. Albans. Metro 911 said at least twenty cars left the tracks on Kanawha Terrace behind McKinley Middle School. The train was hauling coal and there were no injuries, and investigators don’t think there was any type of environmental impact. It was a CSX train that derailed.
