Elk River chemical spill

A report is saying the Elk River chemical spill was caused by negligence. That’s according to the U.S. Chemical Safety Board, which released the findings of its investigation into the 2014 spill and said a lack of inspections played a major part in the spill. The report was made public yesterday and also said there have been health related issues since it happened, but there is no longer a threat to humans. The actual leaking of the chemical appears to have taken place over a full 24-hour period.
