Gerard Butler was spotted Tuesday night having dinner with JESSICA SIMPSON. --Before you get too excited, there may not be anything romantic going on here. They were having dinner in New York City . . . at a place called Soho House . . . but they weren't alone. There were in a group. --But a "witness" says, quote, "[They] sat next to each other, seemed to only be interested in each other and chatted for hours.”
It doesn't look like JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and JESSICA BIEL are breaking up anytime soon. They've been spending the week together in Vancouver.
ROBIN WRIGHT would like you to know that her divorce from SEAN PENN is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. And she really wants you to stop prying. --She told "Redbook" magazine, quote, "Yes, it's divorce; it's a given that it will be public. But . . . it's so disrespectful. 'You're an actress, you owe us this?' '(Eff) you,' is what I say."
DENNIS QUAID came extremely close to getting a DUI early yesterday morning . . . but the cop let him off the hook. --Quaid, his wife and another blonde had just left a Hollywood restaurant called Philippe . . . And Dennis was looking a little rough. --They got into Dennis' waiting SUV . . . but just as he was about to start driving, a cop pulled up next to him. --Dennis' vehicle was running, he was in the driver's seat and he'd put his hands on the wheel. So even if he did nothing else, that would have still been enough to constitute drunk driving . . . IF Dennis was drunk enough. --But the cop never tested him. Instead, he let Dennis go back into the restaurant and call a cab.
Four young women have been arrested in connection with the recent burglaries at the homes of LINDSAY LOHAN and AUDRINA PATRIDGE. --One of them . . . 19-year-old Rachel J. Lee . . . is suspected of being the RINGLEADER in the break-ins. And she's also under investigation in the theft of $2 million in jewelry from PARIS HILTON'S home last year. --The cops say there are ties between these women and 18-year-old Nicholas Prugo . . . who was arrested last month over the Lohan / Patridge burglaries. --There's also a possibility that this crew was responsible for burglaries at the homes of ORLANDO BLOOM and RACHEL BILSON.
MATT DAMON had to bag on a charity event in San Francisco last night due to a, quote, "family emergency of a serious nature." That's all we know at this point. We'll keep you posted.
In Kardashian news...Khloe's new hubby Lamar Odom has not introduced his kids to Khloe. When asked if he planned to reveal his children to his new wife, he replied, “Of course.” (wow!!)

T.R. KNIGHT has broken up with Mark Cornelsen . . . his boyfriend of about two years. A source says, quote, "It's amicable. It was just a normal breakup. It just ran its course." --Knight is 36 years old . . . Cornelsen is a mere 20.
There have been rumors lately that ROSIE O'DONNELL and her wife, Kelli Carpenter, are on the verge of breaking up. Well, those rumors may not have been too far off the mark. --Rosie says they're having problems . . . but she's not ready to admit it's over. She tells "USA Today", quote, "Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties." --Rosie and Kelli have four children together, who range in age from 6 to 14. And Rosie says they're the priority, no matter what. --She says, quote, "[The kids] are, by far, a priority. But everything's fine and everybody's good and we're still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we're friendly and everything's all right." --Meanwhile, RadarOnline.com claims that Kelli already MOVED OUT of the family's Manhattan condo months ago. --And they claim she left because she could no longer deal with Rosie's MOOD SWINGS.
And the Joe Simpson Award for creepiest dad goes to . . . MITCH WINEHOUSE. --Mitch was discussing his daughter AMY and her recently-purchased breasts the other day, and he said, quote, "[She's] fantastic. Her boobs are great as well. I shouldn't have said that, should I? She looks absolutely fantastic."
I think we can safely file this one under Sex Tapes Nobody Wants to See: The "National Enquirer" says there might be a video of DAVID LETTERMAN making sweet love to a much younger female staffer. --The coitus was supposedly recorded unbeknownst to Dave by a surveillance camera in his own "Late Show" studio.
LINDSAY LOHAN'S face appears to have aged about 40 years OVERNIGHT. "Us Weekly" has put together a slideshow depicting how her looks have changed over the last 10 years. Click here to see the progession:
A mistrial was declared yesterday in the JOHN TRAVOLTA extortion case . . . which means the whole thing has to start all over again with a new jury. --The cause of the mistrial was potential JUROR MISCONDUCT. --We don't really have the details yet, but the mistrial was called shortly after the case was sent to the jury. --It was apparently triggered by a member of the Bahamian parliament announcing during a televised speech yesterday that one of the defendants had been acquitted. --The defendant in question was Pleasant Bridgewater, who is a former senator. --So what's the connection??? Officially, we don't know. But since the jury hadn't announced a verdict yet, some are speculating that one of the jurors LEAKED the information.
HULK HOGAN almost didn't survive his divorce from his wife LINDA. --Of course it didn't help that Linda had shacked up with a 19-year-old kid. --In his new book, "My Life Outside the Ring", Hulk says he was in such a funk that he almost KILLED HIMSELF. --He writes, quote, "There were times when I thought that a whole bottle of pills would go down easy." --It got so bad that Hulk even put a loaded gun to his head. He says, quote, "Then I noticed the gun in my hand. I was careless with it. I kept my finger pressed right to that trigger . . . and if I moved that finger an inch in the right direction I would have blown my brains out." --Hulk says he got his head straight by turning to Christ . . . and LAILA ALI. --Hulk believes that a phone call to Laila following that incident really helped him turn things around. (--Hulk and Laila co-hosted the new version of "American Gladiators" last year.) --Laila says she doesn't remember that particular call . . . but she says, quote, "I think that was just divine intervention." --She adds, quote, "I do remember working with Hulk and he was going through a hard time, going through a divorce with his wife. I did call him from time to time when we were shooting the show for whatever reason and I did offer him lots of words of inspiration and support." --Laila also recommended Hulk go to her church in Los Angeles. She says, quote, "He loved it. He kept going. I remember I ran into him there."
Indecisive "Bachelor" jerk JASON MESNICK . . . the dude who dumped MELISSA RYCROFT on last season's live "After the Final Rose" special . . . has popped the question to his Plan B, MOLLY MALANEY.--There's no word on a wedding date yet.
TMZ reports that Jon Gosselin demands $12,000-an-hour to be interviewed. A Tampa, Florida DJ told the site he contacted Jon's rep, hoping to book him as a guest co-host for his morning show. The DJ had offered two first class tickets, limo service and a "first class" hotel room, but Jon wanted more. The rep explained that Jon needed an "appearance fee…in the 10-12K range."

Sometimes during the playoffs, baseball players let their emotions get away from them. I think that's what happened in the Yankee dugout during Monday night's game against the Angels. --At least, that's the best excuse I can find for ALEX RODRIGUEZ grabbing a handful of DEREK JETER'S right butt-cheek.
If you're the"Real Housewives of New York", then this will interest you: BETHENNY FRANKEL, revealed yesterday that she's pregnant. --She was basically forced to admit it after some blog spilled the beans. And she wasn't happy about it. She said, quote, "It's premature to be telling people this. It's not like, 'Did I get Botox?' It's not the way I wanted it to get out. I haven't even gone through my first trimester. We haven't even heard the heartbeat. My [fiancé's] parents didn't even know."
I guess we can forget those rumors about KARINA SMIRNOFF and AARON CARTER hooking up. Karina was making out with San Francisco Giants pitcher BRAD PENNY at a club Monday night.
You always want to make sure you're in a relationship for the right reasons. Which is why REGGIE BUSH may want to rethink his reunion with KIM KARDASHIAN. --Because "sources" say one of the big motivating factors in Kim getting back together with Reggie was to keep up with her sisters. --KHLOE just married LAMAR ODOM . . . and KOURTNEY is having a baby with boyfriend Scott Disick. And now Khloe is talking about popping out some kids, and Kourtney and Scott are making wedding plans. --All of this has Kim feeling left out. A "source" says, quote, "Kim didn't expect to be the last of the three Kardashian sisters married and having kids. There's actually a lot of competition between the sisters, and Kim had a moment where she felt like the lame single one who was too focused on her work."
DEMI MOORE will be 47 next month. And it looks like she's finally showing it. Demi has allegedly spent tens of thousands of dollars on plastic surgery for her face alone. --But a picture taken of her Monday night proves that time CAN'T BE STOPPED. However, she still looks good for her age.
DR. CONRAD MURRAY . . . the final medical caregiver of MICHAEL JACKSON . . . is in a bind. He's behind more than $13,000 on his child support payments, and the cops might be coming after him soon over it. --But because of his newfound infamy, he can't earn any money to pay it back. He's asking the court to let him make, quote, "minimal payments" until he can find a steady job. --In documents filed last week, he says he's, quote, "temporarily unable to maintain a practice or obtain employment because of the extensive media coverage related to the death of Michael Jackson."
In a new interview with Radaronline.com, Octomom Nadya Suleman revealed that she has a thing for Octo-dad, Jon Gosselin. "I kind of have a crush on Jon Gosselin," she said. "I think he's hot."
You'd think ten years of a horrid marriage would make him stay single, but the National Enquirer is reporting that Jon Gosselin is desperate to marry his girlfriend Hailey Glassman. According to the tab, Jon showered his 22-year-old girlfriend with gifts, including a $14,000 engagement ring, but it was Hailey who nixed the marriage idea. A source says, quote, "Jon was shocked that Hailey said no. Hailey just said that they were in love and didn't need to get married." In fact, she recently tweeted, "FYI, seeing everything go on I NEVER want to get married – LOL, no joke, though. A commitment ring is good enough for me. Lol."

TMZ claims that KHLOE KARDASHIAN and LAMAR ODOM have reached a financial settlement . . . and the terms are basically what we'd already heard they'd be. --Lamar's salary from the Los Angeles Lakers is OFF-LIMITS. That's his. She can't touch it. (--And we're talking up to $33 million over the next four years.) --But they'll have a joint account for bills and other expenses, and Lamar will be solely responsible for stocking it. --Khloe also gets an annual lump sum. We don't know how much it is, but it's set in stone over the length of the marriage. In other words, they could be married 50 years and it would still theoretically remain the same. --One last detail we hadn't heard yet . . . Lamar is buying them a house. A nice house. It'll cost a minimum of $5 million. (--Khloe's mom, KRIS JENNER, reportedly made Lamar agree to that.)
Reportedly, BRITNEY SPEARS has been losing weight . . . and most people think she looks BETTER these days. But people (and I mean guys) are complaining that a lot of the weight she’s lost has come from her chest. --Britney hit the beach in Mexico over the weekend . . . and her breasts looked A LOT smaller than usual.
And pictures of Amy Winehouse have hit the Internet…pretty much proving that she got breast implants.
Remember CARRIE PREJEAN??? She's the Miss California who caused all manner of silly controversy by admitting she was against gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant. She was subsequently stripped of her Miss California title for supposedly not fulfilling her duties. --Well, the organization that owns the pageants is now suing Carrie for $5,200 . . . for the cost of her BREAST AUGMENTATION. They say they gave Carrie the money for her new boobs, but it was supposed to be a LOAN . . . and she hasn't paid it back.
SIENNA MILLER took a pounding in the media earlier this year when she started dating "Brothers & Sisters" star BALTHAZAR GETTY . . . because he's married and has kids. --Well, now LINDSAY LOHAN is supposedly seeing him. "People" magazine says Lindsay and Balthazar were, quote, "all over each other" at a Hollywood club called Voyeur the other night.
PARIS HILTON has a cameo in an upcoming movie called "The Other Guys" . . . which stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Mendes. And even though she only has a small part, Paris brought her SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT with her to the set. --The "New York Post" says her contract includes a THREE-PAGE list of demands . . . including LIVE LOBSTERS, which are to be prepared fresh when she's ready to eat.

KIM KARDASHIAN revealed last week that she’s back ON with New REGGIE BUSH and in a new interview, says quote, "I think sometimes people need to take a break just to take time off to see how much they need each other and how much they really are compatible." And speaking of the Kardashian's KOURTNEY . . . (She's the pregnant one) . . . got ROBBED on Saturday. --Kourtney returned to her townhouse at about 8:30 P.M. Saturday and discovered that the place had been broken into. The thief or thieves took more than $108,000 worth of jewelry. --Kourtney was only out for about 90 minutes. She was having dinner with her baby-daddy.
Actors always claim they don't get excited during sex scenes, because it's so mechanical, it's just a job, there are people watching, etc. But I think the average person knows that can't be entirely true. --JESSE METCALFE . . . who played the sexy young gardener who was having an affair with EVA LONGORIA on "Desperate Housewives" . . . admits that guys do POP WHEELIES sometimes during love scenes. --During an interview last week . . . Jesse admitted that he had arousal issues more than once while filming erotic moments with Eva. --The first time it happened, they were just REHEARSING for their very first love scene. --Jesse said that when the rehearsal was over, the director asked them to get out of bed because they had to get ready to film the scene. And Jesse had to tell him, quote, "I need a minute."
STEPHANIE PRATT from "The Hills" got a DUI early yesterday morning. --Cops nailed Stephanie at about 3:45 A.M. She had been out partying until about 3:00 A.M., celebrating the birthday of fellow reality "star" HOLLY MONTAG. --Stephanie . . . who's 23 years old . . . ended up spending a few hours in lockup. She was released on $5,000 bail at 10:00 A.M. yesterday. --Here's some irony for you: On Saturday night, before she hit the clubs, Stephanie spoke with E! News. --And she said, quote, "I'm a party-pooper tonight. I got bad news this morning. A friend passed away in a car accident, so everyone needs to drive safe."
Over the last week or two, NICOLAS CAGE has been getting some pretty bad financial news. First, he got sued by a bank for defaulting on a $2 million loan. -Then, the IRS announced it was going after him for $6.2 million in unpaid taxes and penalties. --And we wondered . . . How does a guy who made $40 million between June of 2008 and June of '09 . . . (--according to "Forbes" magazine) . . . get into that kind of trouble. --And the answer is . . . THE SHADY BUSINESS MANAGER. --On Friday, Cage sued business manager Samuel Levin for sending him down a, quote, "path toward financial ruin." He's demanding AT LEAST $20 million from the guy. --Cage claims that over a period of seven years. Levin put his money into, quote, "highly speculative and risky real estate investments." This resulted in, quote, "catastrophic losses," which forced Cage to sell off major assets and investments. --He also blames Levin for not paying the IRS. And he says Levin never informed him of his bottom line. So Cage was basically spending money without having a good grasp of how much he had to spend.
ANNA NICOLE SMITH'S baby-daddy, LARRY BIRKHEAD, testified Friday in the preliminary hearing of Anna's three alleged drug enablers. As expected, he didn't drop any bombs or try to bury anybody. --Larry testified that Anna popped pills like candy when he lived with her from 2004 to 2006. She even continued taking methadone and Valium while pregnant with their daughter, Dannielynn. --He also said Anna suffered from seizures . . . but she denied they were the result of the drugs. --Anna's former boyfriend (slash) attorney (slash) hanger-on Howard K. Stern . . . along with doctors Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich . . . are accused of keeping Anna's stash of illegally-prescribed pills stocked, even though they knew she was dangerously addicted. --They're each accused of multiple felonies. For some reason, this preliminary hearing STILL isn't over.
LINDSAY LOHAN showed up in a Beverly Hills courtroom yesterday, as she had been ordered to . . . and was greeted with the news that her DUI probation has been extended by a year. --The reason Lindsay's presence was required was because she had been missing too many of her court-ordered alcohol education classes. --Her attorney told the judge that Lindsay was busy with work commitments . . . and had accidentally failed to notify her alcohol education instructors that she was out of state filming a movie and would resume classes when she got back. --After the judge tacked another year onto Lindsay's probation . . . (--Which was originally supposed to last three years) . . . she told her to get court approval the next time she leaves L.A. for work. --She also warned Lindsay that she could be looking at JAIL TIME if she messes up again.
LINDSAY LOHAN'S father, MICHAEL LOHAN, is getting pretty serious about his efforts to "save" his daughter from her supposed drug and emotional problems. --Over the weekend, he told a gossip website that he's meeting with a judge this week to see if he can have Lindsay placed under a conservatorship. (--He's looking for the same kind of arrangement BRITNEY SPEARS has, where her dad basically has legal control over her. Frankly, it really HAS helped turn Britney around. As far as anyone on the outside can tell, anyway.) --If he can't get the conservatorship, Michael may resort to more extreme measures. He says, quote, "I'm going to take her to an undisclosed location and get her straight. But I know I'm gonna get charged with kidnapping."
TLC has sued JON GOSSELIN for breach of contract . . . a move that seemed inevitable ever since Jon banned the network from continuing to film "Jon and Kate Plus Eight", or any other show involving his eight children. --But TLC's lawsuit, which was filed Friday, isn't going after Jon for demanding that production be shut down. The "breach of contract" involves all the TV interviews Jon has done recently, which have been done without their consent. --TLC also released a statement . . . saying, quote, "The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances and statements. Those efforts have been unsuccessful." --The lawsuit asks that Jon be ordered to adhere to his contract with TLC . . . and to give the network any money he made from interviews on other networks' shows. --RadarOnline claims that TLC knows how much Jon has been raking in from those "media appearances" . . . and those numbers could come out at some point. --The site also claims that TLC is asking for damages as well, for defamation. Jon, of course, has repeatedly bashed TLC and "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" in those interviews. --By the way, there's talk that Jon has been trying to land a gig as an "awards show presenter." Supposedly, he's contacted the producers of at least two shows . . . and he even dropped his asking price from $30,000 to . . . NOTHING. --As enticing as that must be . . . (???) . . . he hasn't drawn any interest yet.
