RIELLE HUNTER . . . the "other woman" who helped JOHN EDWARDS tear down both his marriage and his political career . . . is finally breaking her silence. --Rielle was interviewed for the new issue of "GQ" magazine . . . and not surprisingly, she had some interesting things to say. --For starters, Rielle says she slept with John on THE FIRST NIGHT THEY MET. That was back in 2006. (--They'd had some correspondence prior to that, but never met face-to-face.) --He even told her, quote, "Falling in love with you could really (eff) up my plans for becoming president." --She says, quote, "I had never experienced anything like what was flowing between us. I sat on the other side of the room. I wouldn't go near him. --It was just this, this magnetic force field like I had never experienced. It terrified me. Absolutely terrified me . . . He was pretty relentless. And that's all I'm gonna say on that! Now fade to black!" --Rielle would like you to know, by the way, that she's NOT a HO. She says, quote, "Infidelity doesn't happen in healthy marriages. The break in the marriage happens before the infidelity. --And that break happened, you know, two and a half decades before I got there. So the home was wrecked already. I was not the Home Wrecker." --Rielle also puts a lot of the blame for the problems in John's marriage on his wife ELIZABETH . . . whom she says was so domineering that John didn't dare confront her over ANYTHING. --She says, quote, "He was emasculated. And you know, the wrath of Elizabeth is a mighty wrath." --Rielle doesn't know what the future holds for her and John . . . but she thinks they're going to love each other forever. She says, quote, "I know he loves me. I have never had any doubt at all about that. --We love each other very much. And that hasn't changed, and I believe that will be till death do us part. The love doesn't go away. It's unconditional." --She adds, quote, "We have a child together, so at the very least we will be co-parents together." (--Rielle and John have a 2-year-old daughter named Frances Quinn . . . whom John FINALLY admitted was his earlier this year. John is 56 years old . . . Rielle is 45.) --Rielle says that on, quote, "some level", she thinks John wanted her to have an abortion . . . because of the timing, obviously. The kid would have pretty much destroyed his chance of becoming president. --But she adds, quote, "He's a very loving father . . . He very much wants to be in her life full-time, and he doesn't want to hide." --Here's the fun part: Rielle says she helped John keep their affair from Elizabeth by buying him a second cell phone for him to call her on . . . that was IDENTICAL to his regular one. --But Elizabeth FOUND the naughty cell phone, and hit redial . . . thus calling Rielle. She says, quote, "I answered and said, 'Hey, baby.' And, click." And that, obviously, was when Elizabeth found out about the affair. --In addition to her interview, Rielle also posed for some pictures for "GQ". But she absolutely HATES the way they came out. --On "The View" yesterday, BARBARA WALTERS said she spoke with Rielle, who told her she found them, quote, "REPULSIVE". Apparently, Rielle felt they were too provocative. She also supposedly cried for two hours after she saw them.
KATE WINSLET and director SAM MENDES have broken up after seven years of marriage . . . according to a statement from their law firm. The firm says the split was, quote, "entirely amicable and by mutual agreement." --There will be no further comment.
JESSICA SIMPSON was on "The View" yesterday. And not surprisingly, the subject of JOHN MAYER'S "Playboy" interview came up. --Jessica was pretty clear on one thing. She says, quote, "He'll never have this napalm again." --She also said, quote, "I thought he was stupid for breaking up with me." --Jessica added that ever since John's comments, quote, "more men are looking at me, but I feel like they're undressing me."
JESUS LUZ was hosting a VIP party at some nightclub in Paris the other night, when he found out just how trusting MADONNA is. --According to the British tabloids, LINDSAY LOHAN was in town . . . and when she found out about the gig, she tried to score an invite so she could party with Jesus. --A "source" says, quote, "Lindsay got her people to phone the club to try and hang out with him . . . But when [Madonna's] people got wind of it they put a block on it. Jesus wasn't one to argue, he didn't want to upset Madonna and was just there to work. [Lindsay] had to make do with a night in her hotel."
There was no plea bargain for CHARLIE SHEEN yesterday. --Charlie stood in an Aspen, Colorado courtroom and pleaded NOT GUILTY to three charges related to the Christmas Day incident between him and his wife, BROOKE MUELLER. --Those charges are: A FELONY count of menacing and misdemeanor counts of assault and criminal mischief. --The case will now go before a jury, beginning on July 21st. The trial is expected to last three days. --Charlie could get up to five years behind bars if convicted. But experts predict that he probably won't serve significant jail time, since Brooke didn't suffer any significant physical injuries. --There's still no guarantee this thing will go to trial. Charlie and the prosecution could reach a deal before July 21st.
The man who secretly filmed ESPN reporter ERIN ANDREWS nude through a hotel door peep hole will spend two and a half years in prison. --49-year-old Michael David Barrett was also ordered to pay $7,366 in restitution to Andrews. --Barrett admitted that he stalked Andrews for 18 months and tracked her to three different hotels in three states back in 2008, filming her without her knowledge. --At yesterday's sentencing hearing, Andrews told the court, quote, "I'm being victimized every day . . . and I did nothing to deserve it." --After the hearing, she said she was disappointed Barrett didn't get a longer sentence. She said, quote, "His apology isn't good enough. It doesn't take down the video off the Internet. I've cried enough and it doesn't take the video down. --It's changed me because I know people look at me differently now. I think about it for every moment of every day."
It's been seven months since PAULA ABDUL said that she was parting ways with "American Idol" . . . and six months since everyone completely lost interest in the 24-Hour Paula Abdul Job Watch. --There have been rumors regarding "Dancing with the Stars", "So You Think You Can Dance" and SIMON COWELL'S upcoming American version of "The X Factor". And now, we've got a new one to add . . . although this one sounds like it's really close to happening. --So called "sources" tell "Entertainment Weekly" that Paula is, quote, "finalizing" a deal to host an updated version of "Star Search" for ABC. --There aren't many details, yet . . . but here's what we know: The show is being developed for a summer premiere . . . and Paula's role, which is still being defined, could include both hosting and judging responsibilities.

COREY HAIM was getting his meds thanks to an illegal prescription drug ring. --California Attorney General Jerry Brown says, quote, "Corey Haim's death is yet another tragedy linked to the growing problem of prescription-drug abuse. --This problem is increasingly linked to criminal organizations, like the illegal and massive prescription-drug ring under investigation. It's a serious public health problem." --After Corey's death, four prescription drugs were found in his name in the apartment he shared with his mother. They were Vicodin, Valium, a muscle relaxer and an anti-anxiety medication. --A spokeswoman for the Attorney General's office says, quote, "We know there was a prescription pad stolen and there was a prescription written for him using that pad, so it was fraudulent and we know it was filled." --Here's how prescription drug rings like this operate: The crooks use stolen doctor identities to order prescription pads from vendors, then make money by selling them. --They sell the pads either directly to addicts, or to dealers who use them to obtain pills and then sell them on the black market. The doctors whose names are on the pads have no idea that people are using them to get pills.
Former "Friends" star DAVID SCHWIMMER is engaged to a British photographer named Zoe Buckman. There's no word on a wedding date. The two met while David was in London directing the comedy "Run Fatboy Run". --This will be the first marriage for both of them. He's 43 . . . she's 24.
If Brad Pitt ever actually leaves Angelina Jolie, he may still stand a chance with his former wife Jennifer Aniston. While doing press for her new movie The Bounty Hunter, Jenn revealed that she wouldn't rule out reuniting with a former beau. She said, quote, "Absolutely. When you dated before maybe you were at a time in your life when you're not ready and not mature enough to make a big commitment. But people change and you learn to accept the good and the bad."
Jessica Simpson really should learn how to censor herself. While promoting her new VH1 reality show The Price of Beauty, Simpson shared a bit too much information, when she told an interviewer about her oral hygiene habits. Jess said, quote, "I don't brush my teeth, I just use Listerine - and sometimes my sweater."
Kate Gosselin premieres on Dancing with the Stars next week, but not everyone's happy about her participation in the show. US Weekly reports that Kate's eight children are upset that their mommy is 2,400 miles away from home at least three days a week. An insider claims that the kids, who are watched by five nannies, "were asking, 'when is Mommy coming home?'" The source adds that twins Cara and Maddy, "seem depressed when Kate isn't around," and that five-year-old sons Aaden, Collin and Joel, "got into trouble at school for talking back to teachers." The source claims that Kate is fixated on becoming a "huge star," and compares her career with that of other superstars with big families. "She says Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have lots of kids and their parents are away for long periods, working to support them," said the source.
JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT and JAMIE KENNEDY have broken up. So far, though, nobody's saying what we're all thinking: That Jennifer finally realized just how far DOWN she was dating. --A "source" says, quote, "It wasn't contentious. It had kind of just run its course." --One of the things that kept them apart was their busy work schedules . . . which is ironic, since they actually work TOGETHER on Jennifer's show, "The Ghost Whisperer".
We haven't heard much lately about the alleged domestic violence in the Thanksgiving incident at TIGER WOODS' house. But it's back in the news, thanks to a newly-released report. --The report is from Florida Highway Patrol officers who responded when Tiger tried to take the "scenic route" through his neighborhood in his Escalade and wound up wedged up against a tree. --According to the report, paramedics told the cops that ELIN NORDEGREN wanted to ride to the hospital in the ambulance with her husband. But they DENIED her, because of questions about domestic violence. --This doesn't mean there actually WAS domestic violence involved. Police noted in the report that no one at the scene made that claim, and there were no witnesses to any violence. --Elin was never charged with laying hands . . . or clubs . . . upon her husband. --So it could very well be that the paramedics were just erring on the side of caution and covering their bases.
By the way . . .The 13th season of "South Park" wrapped back in November . . . just one week BEFORE the TIGER WOODS scandal broke. But that doesn't mean Tiger will get a free pass from "South Park". --The 14th season premieres Wednesday night, and it's all about Tiger.

CHARLIE SHEEN'S legal team is reportedly working on a new strategy to combat domestic violence charges: His wife was WASTED OUT OF HER MIND. --BROOKE MUELLER told Aspen police on Christmas Day that Charlie held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. Since then, however, she has decided she does NOT want Charlie prosecuted. --And the fact that she subsequently checked into rehab helps Charlie out even more. --A so-called "source" says, quote, "Charlie is going to contend that everything Brooke told police isn't true . . . that she was out of her head, that she was so messed up she didn't know what was going on. --She partied hard before the incident. She drank heavily and she smoked crack. And Charlie is fully prepared to use that as part of his defense. --Considering the fact that she went into rehab after the incident, Charlie's argument is going to have a lot of weight."
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE is doing a comedy called "Bad Teacher" . . . which stars his ex-girlfriend, CAMERON DIAZ. --And according to "People" magazine, the script calls for Justin and Cameron to have a, quote, "hot romp in a hotel room." --But Justin's CURRENT girlfriend, JESSICA BIEL, has NO PROBLEM with that. She says, quote, "I haven't read the script, but I think it sounds fantastic. It sounds like it will be so funny. Obviously, I'm superexcited for him."
E-Trade has issued a statement regarding LINDSAY LOHAN'S $100 million lawsuit against them for allegedly basing a talking baby in one of their TV commercials on her. --Not surprisingly, they're not sweating Lindsay. --They said, quote, "We believe the claims are without merit and we intend to defend ourselves vigorously in this case." --They added that the commercial was meant to be, quote, "witty and memorable."
There's word going around that TIGER WOODS will make his big return to golf at the Masters in Augusta, Georgia. That tournament takes place April 5th through the 11th. --But other sources say he'll enter the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando. That one kicks off on March 25th, and Tiger is the defending champ. --But his agent, Mark Steinberg, says none of the rumors are true. He told CNN, quote, "No decisions have been made yet." --The other big Tiger news today is that he has reportedly hired ARI FLEISCHER . . . who was the press secretary for PRESIDENT BUSH from 2001 to 2003 . . . to do some image repair for him. --Fleischer now runs a company called Ari Fleischer Sports Communications . . . which specializes in CRISIS RESPONSE AND CONTROL.

"Entertainment Weekly" is reporting that KATHERINE HEIGL may be done with "Grey's Anatomy" . . . for good. --They say she was supposed to return to the set on March 1st . . . after a pre-planned hiatus to shoot a movie . . . but she hasn't returned. --So-called "sources" tell them that Katherine has been trying to negotiate a release from her contract. Word has it that series creator SHONDA RHIMES has signed off on Katherine's exit, but Katherine's reps are still in discussions with ABC Studios.

COREY HAIM . . . one of the TWIN TOWERS OF TEEN IDOLATRY along with COREY FELDMAN . . . died early Wednesday morning. He was 38. --Corey fell ill at his mother's apartment in the San Fernando Valley. He was rushed to a hospital in nearby Burbank, and pronounced dead at about 2:15 A.M. --Authorities believe it was an accidental drug overdose. --We appear to be talking about PRESCRIPTION drugs, though. Ed Winter . . . the L.A. Coroner Assistant Chief . . . says that four prescription bottles were found in Corey's apartment, but they were all, quote, "just normal prescriptions." --He added that NO ILLICIT DRUGS were found. --Winter said that Corey . . . who was staying with his mother to help her battle breast cancer . . . awoke sometime after midnight feeling dizzy and unsteady on his feet. --He tried to stand up, but fell to his knees. His mother helped him back into bed, where he became unresponsive. She called 911 . . . and the rest, you know. --Winter says that Haim's body was, quote, "not in bad shape" . . . and that he'd been battling flu-like symptoms for several days. --Corey's mom, Judy, said quote, "He was a good boy. I'm devastated by his death."
On "Letterman" last night, JESSICA SIMPSON admitted that she's still friends with Dallas Cowboys quarterback TONY ROMO . . . and perhaps still a little too fixated on him. --She said, quote, "Tony is great, still a friend of mine. I still look at his cute butt in the outfit . . . uniform." --When Dave asked Jessica why they broke up, she said, quote, "You'd have to ask him that. He broke up with me on my birthday . . . [But] we are still good friends." --Jessica also said . . . yet again . . . that she was disappointed when JOHN MAYER leaked their bedroom secrets to "Playboy". --And she added, quote, "It was definitely a compliment, in a way. I don't really want people to know that about me. I'm like the good girl, then that happened." --When Letterman suggested that Jessica could be BOTH a good girl AND sexual napalm, Jessica said, quote, "I am. But he gave away my game." --She also said, quote, "I will always care about him. I think he's a great person, a great musician, but I was very disappointed by the article."
MARIO LOPEZ is going to be a father. His girlfriend, Broadway actress COURTNEY MAZZA, is preggers. There's no word how far along she is. --Mario says, quote, "We're very happy. Courtney and I couldn't be more excited. I've waited my whole life to be a dad, this is a true blessing."
BEN ROETHLISBERGER reportedly told police he did NOT have sex with the 20-year-old Georgia woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her last Friday. --Now, the police report states that the woman suffered some kind of head injury after her confrontation with Ben in the ladies room of the Capital City nightclub. And Ben has an excuse for that. --So-called "insiders" say that Ben told police in Milledgeville, Georgia that he had, quote, "contact" with the woman in the ladies room of the Capital City nightclub . . . after which she somehow slipped and fell and bumped her head. --Meanwhile . . . one of Ben's offensive lineman, WILLIE COLON, was club-hopping with Ben the night of the alleged incident. But he told police he didn't see anything. --He said he was nowhere near the bathroom where things supposedly happened, because he was too busy getting down on the dance floor.
As expected, MARIE OSMOND returned to the stage at the Flamingo in Las Vegas on Tuesday night, to resume her show with her brother DONNY. It was just one day after her 18-year-old son Michael was laid to rest. --After receiving several standing ovations, Marie said, quote, "Don't do that . . . I'm going to have to leave. --God bless you all. The way the Osmonds survive is we keep singing and that's what we want to do tonight. I know my son would want that and this show is for him." --Donny, of course, was giving Marie props throughout the show. After her solo performance, he said, quote, "I hope you all appreciate what she's going through tonight. She's a strong woman." --Marie mentioned her son several time throughout the night. Then, she broke down while delivering the final line of the show. --It goes like this: Donny sings, "May God keep you in his tender care" . . . and Marie finishes off with, quote, "'Til he brings us together again."

The "New York Post" says that JOHNNY DEPP is trying to quit the movie he's currently making, "The Tourist" . . . because his longtime girlfriend VANESSA PARADIS wants him to. --And why does she want him to quit? Because his co-star is ANGELINA JOLIE. --As you may know, Angelina stole BILLY BOB THORNTON away from LAURA DERN when she starred with him in the 1999 flick "Pushing Tin". --And while Angelina was filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" with BRAD PITT, she stole HIM from JENNIFER ANISTON. --And now, Vanessa is afraid Angelina will go after HER man. And she's especially worried because they'll be shooting a SEX SCENE. --So Johnny is supposedly being the good boyfriend and trying to break his commitment to the film. --A "source" says, quote, "[Johnny is] currently trying to [get out of the movie] . . . and they're talking about replacing him with Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio."
The tabloids have linked ANGELINA JOLIE with quite a few guys over the years, but this one is new to me. --Some new book claims that MICK JAGGER and Angelina started having relations after she appeared in the ROLLING STONES' video, "Anybody Seen My Baby?" in 1997. --At the time, Mick was still married to JERRY HALL --Then, Mick and Angelina had ANOTHER affair in 2003. --The book also claims Angelina rolled around for a while with RALPH FIENNES . . . whom your kids know as Lord Voldemort in the "Harry Potter" movies.
Technically, we don't know for sure whether SIMON COWELL is engaged to his girlfriend . . . "American Idol" makeup artist Mezghan Hussainy. But one thing he'll readily admit to is that he's in love with her. --He says, quote, "You confuse lust with love, you know, when you're in your teens and stuff like that. It's a difficult thing to describe other than you know it when you are. --You just know when you've found somebody special and I feel very, very happy."
Several sources are claiming that ELIN NORDEGREN and the kids have moved back in with TIGER WOODS to help him get his life and career back on track. --But that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be a happy family again. --One source says, quote, "Elin knows Tiger has issues and is afraid to go near him romantically. Because of the children and his need to return to golf, she will try to live in the house with a wall between them. --The marriage is all smoke and mirrors, but Elin will help Tiger rebuild his image and gain new sponsorships because this is what his life is all about. --She is doing this more for the kids and holding the family together then anything else." --According to TMZ, Wednesday was the first night Tiger and Elin spent in the same house since November.
SEAN PENN has been going to Haiti to help with the earthquake relief effort . . . but not everybody thinks his heart is in the right place.
--There are those who've accused him of exploiting the tragedy to improve his public image . . . and others who think it's hypocritical for him to complain about the misfortune and injustice, then go back home to his millions of dollars. --Well, Sean has a special wish for those who doubt his sincerity . . . quote, "You know, do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer? Yeah. You know, but I'm not going to spend a lot of energy on it."
I'm not really buying this, but PULITZER PRIZE CANDIDATE "The National Enquirer" says that MARIE OSMOND is on suicide watch since the death of her son Michael last Friday.
When JAKE PAVELKA proposed to VIENNA GIRARDI on "The Bachelor" earlier this week, he forgot to tell her an important fact about himself: He already had a girlfriend. (???) --At least that's what the alleged girlfriend claims. Her name is Tanya Douglas . . . and she says that when Jake went off to film "The Bachelor", they left their relationship, quote, "on hold." --And after the show finished taping in November, he started calling her and telling her how much he loved her. He also said the producers FORCED him to propose to Vienna. --Tanya came forward yesterday in a radio interview . . . (--With Island 106 in Panama City, Florida.) She actually tried to keep her identity a secret, and her voice was disguised. But the media found out who she was. --The reason she's coming forward is because she's disappointed that Jake proposed to Vienna . . . especially if he didn't mean it. She claims she and Jake had plans for the future . . . which may have included MARRIAGE. --Jake is denying her claims, of course. --He says, quote, "The relationship with [Tanya] was prior to 'The Bachelor'. It simply did not work out. --There was no overlap with that or any other relationship during the show. It is unfortunate that people such as this are trying to financially capitalize on or disparage my incredible relationship with Vienna. --I only wish everyone could be as happy for us as we are happy together."
