Thanksgiving Day
The Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, has been hosting our Community
Thanksgiving Dinner for 17 years (give or take a year), and we serve 600
meals each year. It's a full Thanksgiving meal (with homemade cooking), and
it's absolutely free. People can receive meals one of three ways -
delivery, pick-up at the church, or eat at the church itself. The meal
takes place on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 2:00 p.m. They are located at
2438 U.S. Route 60 in Hurricane. We encourage those who'd like their meals
delivered or want to pick them up to call us in advance at 304-562-2012.
Folks who'd like to help out with the meal, either by volunteering their
time or by a donation, can call the church at the above number. It's a lot
of fun to work the dinner - great way to "give thanks."
