AEP Offers Reward in Copper

Moundsville police are looking for copper thieves, and a utility company is offering a reward in the case. The theives caused a power outage affecting about 3,000 American Electric Power customers after breaking in to a substation on Tuesday morning and tripping a circuit breaker while stealing copper wire. AEP is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Power was restored in about two hours, but AEP says it's still assessing the damage.
