New Affordable Housing Complex Unveiled Monday
The newest affordable housing complex on the West Side was unveiled Monday with dignitaries including Mayor Danny Jones, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin and others on hand. The Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony Monday morning at the Switzer Center for the Greystone Apartments. There are 28 apartment units across the seven-building complex across from Washington Street West, and that finishes out phase seven of the West Side redevelopment project. Now it's on to phase eight, which will put up a new community across from Greystone.
