Attempted Murder Charges Added After March Shootout
A Charleston man was arraigned on attempted murder charges over the weekend, stemming from a shooting six months ago. Robert Smith was allegedly part of a shootout in March on Charleston's West Side in front of a Korean restaurant on Washington Street. Police said there were multiple shell casings. Smith was already facing charges for malicious wounding, wanton endangerment, and firearm possession. On Saturday, attempted murder was added. There is one other person charged in the shooting.
