Investigation Continues Into Stabbing of 4-Year Old

Detectives aren't sure exactly what to do about the case of the 8-year old boy who stabbed his 4-year old sister over the weekend. Officers said the boy somehow got a knife and stabbed his sister's doll and then he cut her neck when she walked in the room. The girl's wounds weren't life-threatening, but she was hospitalized and will likely be released today. Prosecutors said at a news conference Monday that they are trying to balance public safety with what is best for the child. Under state law, a child can't be prosecuted until he's 10 years old.
