Outside Students Now Able to Transfer to George Washington High
The Kanawha County school board made a move on Monday that could mean more students are able to attend a high school in the district. Board members lifted the ban on out-of-area transfers for George Washington High School after overcrowding put the ban in place. The reprieve will last at least the next year, and board members will evaluate at that point. Enrollment was closed at George Washington and John Adams Middle School last year, but some of the overcrowding issues have been fixed in the months since.
