Captiol Roasters to be Replaced by New Brew Pub

Only two weeks left, and then a Quarrier Street business will leave and a new one will take its place. Ann Saville's new Quarrier Street brew pub will expand into that corner space occupied by Capitol Roasters for the past ten years. The Charleston Gazette reports Capitol Roasters will close at the end of the month, and closed its kiosk at Capitol Market after its lease expired. At a meeting this week with Charleston Urban Renewal Authority board members, the two owners discussed the lease agreement. The Urban Renewal Authority is the landlord, and approved the idea of Capitol Roasters assigning the remainder of its lease to the new brew pub, which will expand to double its size. The new brew pub will be open in about six weeks.
