Deputy Follows Fresh Boot Prints in the Snow to Find Suspect
Kanawha County Sheriff deputies on Sunday made an arrest on an outstanding warrant for felony breaking and entering. Tommy Edward Clark was arrested on Washington Street in South Charleston after deputies were initially sent to Mazella Quarries on Oakhurst Drive near Charleston after the owner had seen a man wearing camouflage enter a trailer on the property and then flee into the woods. A deputy followed fresh boot prints in the snow for about three miles, then met with South Charleston police officers and found Clark at a home on Washington Street. In addition to the outstanding warrant, Clark faces the additional charge of breaking and entering for the incident at the rock quarry.
