Much-Talked About Trees in St. Albans are Cut Down

The talk about what to do with some trees in St. Albans is over. The trees at the end zone of St. Albans High School's football field have been cut down. A man had filed a temporary restraining order against the school to try to save the trees, but a judge dissolved the restraining order and cleared the way for the trees to be cut down. School officials said the trees were rotting and suffered severe damage during the June 29th storms. Some worried the trees might fall down and then the school would be liable.
