Demand for coal may be overshadowed by other energy sources

A new report on energy this week shows the global demand for coal will continue to rise, but as natural gas and renewable sources continue to gain popularity coal's share of the market may drop. That's according to an International Energy Agency report and also says total world energy demand will continue to rise over the next 25 years. The IEA says demand for oil, gas and coal will grow through 2035, but their combined share of energy supply will fall from 81 percent to 75 percent during that period.
