WV second for antibiotic use

A new report shows West Virginia is having more prescriptions filled for antibiotics. The report from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation says there were more 1,178 perscriptions filled for every 1000 people here in 2010 and that's good for second in the US that year. West Virginia ranked fifth for its use of antibiotics in 1999. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's has declared this week as "Get Smart About Antibiotics Week.''
