Kanawha County under wind warning Monday
The unique thing about Hurricane Sandy, is she's colliding with a winter storm as she makes landfall. Meteorologists say this will be the first time in history that a storm has formed like this. Late Sunday, the National Weather Service issued blizzard warnings from midday today through Wednesday afternoon in 10 counties, including Fayette, Nicholas, and Raleigh. Kanawha and Putnam Counties are not included in the blizzard warnings, but can expect wind and rain. In fact, a wind advisory is in effect through 5pm today for counties including Lincoln, Putnam, Kanawha, Roane, and Logan.
