Storm response public hearing

A public hearing by the state Public Service Commission September 18 will focus on dealing with how to handle future possible power outages. The hearing comes out of the response by 12 West Virginia utilities to the recent windstorms that left more than a half million West Virginians without power, some for nearly two weeks back in June. Also last week the Commission ordered the 12 to submit, within 30 days, evaluations on the preparedness for and response to those same storms.
